Conceived as something more open and fragmented than a conventional biography, the book brings together articles, interviews, reviews, comics and illustrations to build a portrait of one of the most elusive figures in American music. The visual contribution develops that portrait through a series of illustrations exploring different moments, places and episodes from Chilton’s life and career.
