VELVET SERENADE
Cover artwork and graphic concept for Velvet Serenade, the 2023 album by Pascal Comelade, Ramon Prats and Lee Ranaldo.
The cover was constructed from frames taken from Ignacio Julià’s 1977 Super 8 film Nomad, reworked through collage, graphic treatment and subtle illustrative interventions. The visual concept deliberately echoes the graphic language surrounding Andy Warhol and The Velvet Underground, while the typewriter typography was developed from a Remington typewriter belonging to Pascal Comelade.

Built from selected frames of Ignacio Julià’s 1977 Super 8 film Nomad, combining photographic montage, graphic treatment and hand-drawn interventions.
The typewriter lettering was developed from a Remington typewriter owned by Pascal Comelade, adding a personal and material reference to the project’s visual identity.

The visual concept was also extended into promotional posters announcing Linger On, the concert film Velvet Suite and the release of the album, allowing the same graphic language to move across event, film and record formats.
